Troubleshooting Steps for Uploading
Please try each suggested troubleshooting step in order and check to see if the issue is resolved before moving on.
Check the file format & size
- Check the items you are trying to upload meet our upload requirements listed here: Flickr upload requirements.
- If you are uploading a batch of items, try uploading smaller batches, or one item at a time.
Use a stable connection
A stable internet connection is necessary to upload large files. An unstable or slow internet connection will cause the upload to boot out or fail. Avoid switching back & forth from different connections to ensure smooth uploading.
Web Browser
Firstly, you'll need to check that the browser you’re using is up to date and that it is listed as one of our supported browsers. See our help article here for further information.
If you continue to have trouble after updating your browser, we recommend that you try the following:
- Clear your browser cookies.
- Clear your browser cache.
- Disable add-ons and extensions.
- Reset your browser to default settings.
- Try using a different web browser or a private/ incognito window.
Device
Are you experiencing the same issue across multiple devices? If not, then we recommend that you try the following on your affected device:
- Reboot your device and try loading the site again.
- Check you’re running the latest version of the operating system on your device.
- Temporarily disable antivirus, anti-spyware, and firewall products.
