How to save or share an item
When you find a great photo, it's natural to want to save it or share it with others. With the photographer’s permission, you can save, invite it to groups, or share it by email, text, or other social media platforms.
Save or share one item on iOS
- Tap the image or video you want to share/ save to open it.
- Tap the Share icon.
- Select if you want to Save item or Copy URL to share.
Share multiple items on iOS (only your own content)
- Head to your Camera Roll tab.
- Tap Select then select the items you want to share.
- Tap the Share icon.
- Select Copy URL to share.
Save or share one image* on Android
- Tap the image you want to share/ save to open it.
- Tap the Share icon.
- Select if you want to Save item or Copy URL to share.
Share multiple images on Android (only your own images)
- Head to your Camera Roll tab.
- Tap Select then select the images you want to share.
- Tap the Share icon.
- Select Copy URL to share.
*At this time, it is not possible to download videos directly to your Android device via the Flickr app. As a workaround, you can log into your Flickr account via mobile web on your device & download the video from there. (Alternatively, through the app, if you have G:Drive set up on your device, you can click 'Save to Drive'. From there you download the video file from your G:Drive to your device.
Note:
- You can only save photos individually.
- The Flickr app needs to have access to your Photos in order to allow downloads. (Your photos won't be automatically backed up unless you are a Pro member and the Auto-Uploader is enabled in the app).
- BBCode can only be generated in the desktop website currently. See Share or embed Flickr photos/albums for more information.
How to enable photo access
On iOS:
- Open Settings.
- Scroll down and tap Flickr.
- Make sure Photos is enabled.
For Android:
- Open Settings.
- Tap Apps.
- Tap Flickr in the list.
- Tap Permissions.
- Make sure Storage is enabled/ set to allow.
