With the Flickr Photo Editor, you can edit images that have already been uploaded to Flickr.
Note: This feature is available on web only.
Access the Photo Editor
Once you have made the desired changes, you can then choose to replace the original photo with the edited version, or keep both.
Note: If you chose to replace the original photo, this item will not be recoverable.
- Open a photo from your Photostream.
- Select the Edit Icon | Select Open photo editor.
- Edit using the tools in the left-side toolbar.
- Once you have finished editing, select Save as a new copy or Replace the original photo.
Editing tools
The toolbar consists of 7 functions:
Transform | Allows you to rotate, crop, or set the ratio of your image. Alternatively, you can choose to lock the resolution. |
Filters | There are 7 filters available including , cold, warm, vintage, black & white and more—each with multiple variations to help you set the perfect tone and color palette for your photo. |
Adjust | Includes basic correctional settings such as brightness, saturation, contrast, and gamma. It also allows you to refine aspects of your photo such as exposure, sharpness, highlight, shadows, etc. Pro Tip! You can ‘reset to default’ at any time by clicking the button at the top. |
Focus | Contains presets for radial, mirrored, linear, and gaussian focus. |
Text | Allows you to add text & customize the font, size, color, background, and spacing. Select the ‘Flickr’ button to add additional text boxes. |
Brush | Allows you to draw and add your own doodles to the photo. You can customize the color, width, and hardness of the brush. |
Frame | There are five frame options to choose from and you can adjust the width and opacity. Remove the frame at any time by selecting ‘none’. |
