Change or reset your Flickr password

Keeping your Flickr account secure is essential. Whether you're updating your password or resetting it, follow the steps below to manage it quickly and safely.

Password requirements

  • Must be at least 12 characters long.
  • Cannot begin with a space.
  • Must be unique. Avoid reusing a password from Flickr or any other service.

Notes: 

  • For best results, use a password manager like 1Password to generate and store strong passwords.
  • You should never share your password with anyone, including Flickr Support.
  • If you can’t remember your email address, please contact us. If you're not writing in from the login email on the account, we will need to verify ownership of the account as part of this process.

Change your password

  1. Select your profile photo and choose Settings from the drop-down menu.
  2. On the right-hand side under Account, select Edit your password.
  3. You will be asked to sign out of Flickr | select Yes, sign me out.
     

OR

if you are not already logged into the account, go to the sign in page.

  1. Enter your email address | select Next.
  2. Select Forgot Password?
  3. Check the “I’m not a robot” box.
  4. Select Send email.  
  5. Select the link in the reset email you receive and set your new password.
  6. Select  Change your Flickr password.
  1. Once signed out, tap Log in.
  2. Enter your Flickr login email address.
  3. Tap Forgot Password?
  4. Tap Send Email for a password reset email.

Why you're being asked to change your password

To keep your account safe, we may occasionally require you to update your password. This helps us ensure account security across the platform.
