To ensure smooth uploading to Flickr, check the following permissions are set accordingly.
Photo & video access
Once you have downloaded the Flickr app on your device, you want to ensure your device permissions are set to allow Flickr to access your photos & videos.
iOS:
- Open Settings.
- Scroll down and tap Flickr.
- Make sure the permissions are enabled.
Android:
- Go to your device's "Home" screen.
- Press your device's Menu button | Tap Settings.
- Tap Apps and Notifications.
- Select the Flickr app.
- Tap Permissions.
- Make sure all permissions are enabled, and that “Pause app activity if unused” is disabled.
Auto-Uploadr Permissions
To ensure your Auto-Uploadr is working at all times, you can enable uploading via mobile data as well.
iOS & Android:
- Open the Flickr app and go to your profile.
- Tap on the spinning circle on the top-left corner of your screen.
- Tap on Auto-Uploadr settings.
- Make sure all settings are enabled.
Background Refresh
Background Refresh helps the Flickr app upload content while the app isn't front and center. Here's how to enable it:
iOS:
- Tap the iOS Settings app.
- Tap General.
- Tap Background App Refresh.
- Slide "Background App Refresh" to the right, so it's enabled.
- Locate "Flickr," then slide the toggle to the right.
Android:
- Go to your device's "Home" screen.
- Tap your device's Menu button > tap Settings.
- Tap Apps and Notifications.
- Select the Flickr app.
- Under usage, tap Mobile data
- Make sure all permissions are enabled.
