Enable permissions for the Flickr app

To ensure smooth and trouble-free uploading, make sure your device is giving the Flickr app the access it needs.

Photo & video access

After downloading the Flickr app, check that your device allows it to access your photos and videos.

iOS

Android

  1. Open your device Settings.
  2. Select Apps.
  3. Scroll down and tap Flickr.
  4. Ensure photo & camera permissions are enabled.

  3. Select the Flickr app.
  4. Select Permissions | Ensure Photos/Media, Camera, and any other relevant permissions are enabled.
  5. Disable Pause app activity if unused.


Auto-Uploadr permissions (Pro only)

Auto-Uploadr works best on a strong Wi-Fi connection, but you can enable uploading over mobile data in your device’s permissions settings to ensure uploads continue uninterrupted.

  1. Tap on your Profile.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu.
  3. Tap Auto-Uploadr.
  4. Tap WIFI Only or Cellular/ WIFI.
     

Background refresh

Background Refresh lets Flickr upload even when it’s not open on your screen.

  1. Open your device Settings.
  2. Select General.
  3. Select Background App Refresh.
  4. Select Background App Refresh at the top of the screen | select the preferred setting | select Back
  5. Scroll down to Flickr | slide the toggle to the right.

  2. Selects Apps.
  3. Select the Flickr app.
  4. Under Usage, Select Mobile data.
  5. Slide the Allow background data usage to the right.
