Create, delete, or edit an album on Flickr

You can easily create albums of photos & videos that have been uploaded to your account. 

The albums can be sets of photos & videos that are grouped by date, topic, event, or any other criteria you choose.

Albums contain links to the content in your Photostream. This allows you to add a single item to multiple albums without creating duplicates in your account.

These steps are for using Flickr on a web browser. For information on using Flickr on a mobile device, please find more information here: Create and manage albums in the Flickr app.

Create an album

From the Albums Page

1. Hover over You | select Albums.
2. Select the + icon.
3. Enter a title & description.
4. Choose how you’d like the content sorted from the drop-down menu.
5. Select Next.
6. Select the items you wish to add* | click Select.

Using Organizr

1. Hover over You | select Organize.
2. Select Albums & Collections.
3. Select Create a new album, at the top.
4. Enter a title & description in the left column.*
5. Drag content into the album area from the bottom of the screen. 
6. Select More options to search for specific tags, people, or a specific content type.
7. Select Save.

*It is not possible to create an empty album.

You can also create a new album during the upload process, or by selecting Add to album on a photo page, or in the Camera Roll.

Delete an album

From the Albums Page

1. Hover over You | select Albums.
2. Select the album you want to delete.
3. Select the Edit icon.
4. Select Delete album.

Using Organizr

1. Hover over You | select Organize.
2. Select Albums & Collections.
3. Double-click an album to open it.
4. Select Delete this Album.
5. Select YES, DELETE to confirm.

Notes: 

• When an album is deleted, the contents of the album will still remain on your Flickr account. 
• Removing an item from an album does not delete it from your Flickr account. To learn how to delete content from your account entirely, read more here.
• When all items are removed from an album, it is automatically deleted from your Albums page.

Edit an album

From the Albums Page

1. Hover over You | select Albums.
2. Select the album you would like to update.
3. Select the Edit icon.
4. Make any desired changes | select Save.

Using Organizr

1. Hover over You | select Organize.
2. Select Albums & Collections.
3. Double-click an album to open it.
4. Make any desired changes on the left-hand side | select Save.
