In the event a Flickr member passes away we offer the following options:
- Delete the account. If you have a legal right to act on behalf of the deceased member & can provide the necessary documentation, we may be able to delete the Flickr account.
- Memorialize the account. If you do not have proper authorization, you can report the death & request account memorialization.
Note: It is against our policy to allow access to a deceased member's account.
Please follow the guide below to submit a request.
Here is a list of documentation we suggest having on hand depending on your selection:
- A valid government-issued ID.
- Death Certificate.
- Documentation to prove you are the Power of Attorney or Executor of the Estate.
The Fine Print: Upon receiving a request we will evaluate the account to determine if it qualifies. Flickr reserves the right to memorialize accounts and is the sole determiner of what qualifies for an account to be memorialized.
