Fix problems with the Flickr app

If your Flickr app isn't working on your device, these troubleshooting tips can help you get things working again!  

Update the app

The Flickr app works best on the latest version of the software. Before trying any of the steps below check if you have the latest version of the app.

Check Connectivity 

Make sure your device can connect to the internet or mobile data network before you try more complicated steps to fix app problems.

Clear Cache

Force Close the App

If the app is slow, freezing, or crashes, force closing the app can help. 

On iOS

On Android

  1. Swipe up on the Home screen to view open apps. (For older phones, double press the home button)
  2. Swipe up on the Flickr app preview to close it.
  3. Re-launch the app and attempt to reproduce the issue.

  2. Tap Application Manager or Apps
  3. Find and tap the Flickr app
  4. Tap Force Stop
  5. Re-launch the app and attempt to reproduce the issue.

Re-Install the App 

If you're still having problems with the app after you restart the app, it's possible the app has become corrupt. Uninstall and reinstall the app to fix this problem. 

Review your App Permissions

App permissions are the settings that allow apps to connect to other information on your device. It's a good idea to review permissions for Android apps to make sure they're enabled.
