Using HTML Code to Format your Comments

When using Flickr on a web browser, you can  use code when leaving a comment to add a personal touch. (Not currently available in the Flickr app.)

Use HTML tags to style your text

  • Bold: <b>your text</b>
  • Italics: <i>your text</i>
  • Underline: <u>your text</u>
  • Deleted: <del>your text</del>
  • Block Quote: <blockquote>your text</blockquote>

Below is how the examples above would display in your comment:

Link to a photo/ video/ album on Flickr in your comment

If you'd like to include a Flickr photo/ video/ album in your reply, simply copy and paste its URL between square brackets.

The photo/ album links will look like this when you use the Share icon:

[https://flic.kr/p/2ooDaCp]

[https://flic.kr/s/aHsmS4f6mN]

This is what the links will look like if you copy/ paste from your browser’s window:

[https://www.flickr.com/photos/flickr/52764755883]

[https://www.flickr.com/photos/flickr/albums/72157716823987722]

Both options will display the photo/ album, but not the URL in your comment:
