Add, edit, or delete comments and notes on Flickr

Comments and notes allow you and your followers a place to add info and ask questions about photos on Flickr. If you don’t like what you or someone else said, you have the option to edit and delete posts.

Allow comments and notes - Update your privacy settings so others can comment or add notes to your photos. Trouble posting on someone else's image? It’s likely due to their privacy settings.

Add, edit, and delete comments

Add a comment

  1. Select the photo or video you'd like to comment on.
  2. Below the content, click into the "Add a comment" field.
  3. Enter your text.
  4. Select Add comment.

Edit a comment

  1. Select the 3-dots in the top right-hand corner of the comment.
  2. Select Edit.
  3. Make the edits you wish to make in the text field.
  4. Select Done.

Delete a comment

  1. Select the photo or video you'd like to delete a comment from.
  2. Select the 3-dots in the top right-hand corner of the comment | select Delete.
  3. Select OK.

Add, edit, and delete notes

Add a note

  1. Select the photo you'd like to add a note to.
  2. Anywhere on the photo, draw a box with your cursor - a note field will populate where you can enter text.
  3. Enter your text in the text field.
  4. Select Save.

Edit a note

  1. On the photo page, hover your mouse over the photo and the note will appear.
  2. Select the note.
  3. Make the edits in the text field.
  4. Select Save.

Delete a note

  1. On the photo page, hover your mouse over the photo and the note will appear.
  2. Select the note.
  3. Select Delete.
