Upload photos and videos to Flickr

There are multiple ways to upload photos and videos to your Flickr account. All upload methods fall into two main categories:

  • Manual upload: You choose exactly which photos and videos to upload, giving you full control over what gets shared.
  • Auto-Uploadr (Pro only): Your content uploads automatically based on settings you configure, making it easy to keep your account current without manual work.

  1. Select the Upload icon.
  2. Select Choose Photos and Videos.
  3. Select your items | select Open.
  4. Add or edit title, description, tags, people, albums, or groups.
  5. Confirm owner settings - license, privacy, content filters.
  6. Select Upload.

You can find the Upload icon on any page when logged into your Flickr account.

  1. Open the app | select the + icon.
  2. Select the photos/videos to upload from your camera's gallery by tapping the thumbnails (or, select the Camera icon to take a new photo). Note: Selected items will be highlighted in blue.
  3. Once all items have been selected | select Next.
  4. Make any desired edits using the editor (optional).
  5. Select the Arrow icon in the top right corner.
  6. Add details to your photo: title, description, location, set privacy level, etc.
  7. Select Share.
  1. Open the app | select the Camera icon.
  2. Select the image in the bottom left of the screen. This will take you to your camera's gallery.
  3. Find the photos/videos you want to upload, select each one | select Done.
  4. Add details to your photo: title, description, location, set privacy level, etc.
  5. Select Upload.

Note: When uploading videos, video playback is constrained to the first 3 minutes for Free members and 10 minutes for Pro members.

Auto-Uploadr (Pro only)

Flickr Pro members have unlimited storage. You can safely and securely back-up your content from your desktop, laptop, or the Flickr app on your mobile device.

Your items will be uploaded privately. Only you can see them unless you change the privacy setting.

Download the Mac or Windows Uploadr and select which folders you want to back-up (photos only).
