Share your Flickr content

Sharing your photos and videos is a great way to connect with friends, family, and the broader Flickr community. You can share individual items, albums, or even your entire Photostream — all from your desktop or the Flickr app.

Always include a link back to Flickr when embedding or sharing images externally. This is required by Flickr’s Terms of Use.

You can share using one of these options.: 

  • Post on social media. Share directly to Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, or Pinterest.
  • Copy the Share link. Share a direct link to the photo page or album.
  • Get an embed code. Use the HTML embed code to display a photo on a website or blog. This includes a link back to Flickr, per our Terms of Use. For more information see Embed your Flickr content.
  • Use BBCode. Share your photo in forums or message boards that support BBCode formatting.
  • Share your photos in a group.

Share a single item 

On Web In the App 
  1. Open the photo or video you want to share.
  2. Select the Share icon.
  3. Choose how you’d like to share.
     

Note: Private content will generate a Guest Pass link so only people with the link can view it.
  1. Select the Profile icon
  2. Choose Select above your photos.
  3. Select the photo or video you want to share.
  4. Select the Share icon at the bottom of the screen.
  5. Choose the desired sharing method.

Share multiple items

On Web In the App 
  1. Hover over You | Select Camera Roll
  2. Select the items you want to share.
  3. Select the Share icon.
  4. Choose the desired sharing method.
     

Note: Sharing private content will generate a Guest Pass link so only people with the link can view it.
  1. Select the Profile icon.
  2. Choose Select above your photos.
  3. Select the photo or video you want to share.
  4. Select the Share icon at the bottom of the screen.
  5. Choose the desired sharing method.

Share an Album

On Web In the App 
  1. Hover over You | Select Albums
  2. Hover over the album you want to share.
  3. Select the Share icon.
  4. Choose the desired sharing method.
  1. Select the Albums tab | Select the album you want to share.
  2. Select the Share icon.
  3. Select which items you want to share (All Items or Public Only).
  4. Choose the desired sharing method.

Share your Photostream 

On Web In the App 
  1. Hover over You | Select Photostream.
  2. Select the Share icon above your photos.
  3. Choose how you would like to share.

  1. Open the app.

  2. Select your Profile photo.
  3. Select Share Public Profile.
  4. Choose how you would like to share.

Notes:

  • Private content. Sharing a private item will create a Guest Pass. Private content shared in a group is visible to all group members.
  • Moderate content. Cannot be shared directly to social media.
  • Restricted content. Private restricted content cannot be shared. Public restricted content cannot use the Share icon, but you can share its URL.
