Your name helps others recognize you on Flickr. You can update both your real name and display name to customize how you appear to the community.
Real name
- Displayed in larger text across the site.
- Appears on your profile page.
- Shows on your photos.
- Visible when you comment on others' content.
- For business accounts: Use your organization or brand name here.
Display name (username)
- Shown in smaller text under your Real Name.
- Appears on discussion posts.
- Visible in various other areas of the site.
- Choose something memorable and easy to read.
Change your name(s) on Flickr (web only)
- Hover over You | select About.
- Select the three-dot menu next to your name.
- Select Edit profile info.
- Select Edit next to your Real name or Username.
- Enter your desired name(s).
- Select Done to save your changes.
Notes:
- If the name you enter isn’t accepted, it’s likely already in use by another Flickr account, active or deleted. Try a variation or add something unique to make it yours.
- Your real name and display name are not your login credentials. You’ll still need to use your email address and password to sign in to Flickr.
